What can’t Vera Wang do? The wedding powerhouse designed a new collection of wedding rings exclusively for Zales last December and is set to unveil 15 new styles later this month, along with a few earrings and pendants. We’ve got to say, we are having a really hard time picking our favorite. The new Love Collection by Vera Wang feature rings priced from $2,500 to $6,000, although some styles offered in the current collection value as high as $16,000 (whew!)

Of the newest gems in her eyes (pun totally intended) Vera had this to say;

“I have a tremendous affinity for jewelry; I’ve grown up collecting jewelry. I also have previous designed an extremely couture, one of a kind bridal jewelry line; so this was a very natural direction for developing wedding rings that I thought appealed to a wide variety of brides. Everything from the very modern bride to the very traditional bride; this very much reflects my personal design philosophy with wedding gowns, which is there are different types of brides and different kinds of styles. “

On using sapphires…

“…The sapphire has long been associated with engagements. So to be able to incorporate the superstition (something old, something blue) with the reality, that a sapphire is such a valuable gem stone and we could bring that into the wedding bands ,is just another very special touch in how we’re thinking we can design weddings.”
