Bridesmaids Inspirations From the “Pink” Carpet
The 2012 Teen Choice Awards aired last night and while we’re sure Justin Bieber’s entrance was the only thing teen girls all over the world cared about, we were more impressed with the pops of color featured on the pink carpet. It truly is the season of vibrant and fun colors (and adorable dresses) and last night was a runway of this season’s best and brightest!

Then we thought to ourselves, how cute would these dresses be as bridesmaid dresses?!
They’re perfect for summer weddings; cute, colorful and short. While you may not want to have your “besties” splurge on celeb-worthy designer dresses (Monique Llhuillier was quite popular last night), we threw together some cute copycats that we’re sure they’ll love to parade down your aisle and into your reception!

We really loved the yellow dress, brown wedges and orange clutch that Candice Accola wore. It was simple and tasteful with just a little “oomph!” (which should be the recipe for every bridesmaids dress… btw). We recommend keeping the color combo with a slightly bunched drape neck and waist line. Add just a touch of red-orange to your shoes and accessories for your bridesmaids’ pleasure.

Lucy Hale was too cute for words in her “tangerine tango” (ahem… Pantone’s Color of the Year) dress with asymmetrical neckline and bronze heels so we didn’t want to change too much. We did however add a little sexy with a snakeskin bronze low heel… not for the faint of heart! (Feel free to opt for a bronze strappy low heel or sandals if you’re planning a beach wedding.)

Tipper is absolutely dying for the above dresses!

We’ve dubbed Royal Blue the Kate Middleton of all colors and we must say Zooey Deschanel’s prom-inspired dress would fit any formal wedding party in royal fashion. We paired her flared skirt with a halter top and her straight neckline with an asymmetrical hemline to give her dress a little flare. Of course you can just ditch the style of her dress altogether and go for the very formal pencil skirt with peplum top (which we are so in love with!). We kept Zooey’s black accessorized look (again very formal) with just a little sparkle around the wrist. We urge you night time reception brides to pass this one by your bridesmaids.

It was quite the challenge trying to find a dress that even came close to the amazing-ness that was Nina Dobrev last night. Her teal dress was quite the risk but she definitely pulled it off. This style of dress is definitely for the risk-taker in your group but who knows, these dresses may pull your shy bridesmaids out of their shells!

Sunny plus turquoise and gold equals true love!
