We sent Sunny – our wedding insider to Sandals Montego Bay to scout out all the nooks and crannies perfect for those romantic moments…

Sunny here! I like to call Sandals Montego Bay the “flora and fauna” resort because its grounds are teeming over with pink and red ginger lilies and lush grand old trees.

At night, the whispers of crickets float through the forest-like grounds. It’s beautiful! On one of those nights when you and your honey feel like taking a sweet island escape, but don’t want to leave property, take a hand-in-hand stroll past the bayside pool, down the steps and onto the garden pathway.You’ll be enchanted by this lush property at night. First, you’ll pass the fountain lit up in enchanting turquoise colors in the middle of the resort. Next, head over the bridge to the gentle lapping shores on the beach and sneak down one of the many private piers. They make the perfect place to count stars on a starry night.

If you want to take a sunset dip alone, then you’re in luck! There are a few very private pools located on the quieter side of the property, two of them hot tubs. One of my personal favorites is the hot and cold plunge pools found behind a huge rubber band tree and surrounded by a coy pond on a deck not far from the sauna. It’s hidden and shaded by the gorgeous grand ole tree and is perfect for those intimate moments. With the surrounding coy pond, the trickling of the mini waterfall and all that gorgeous foliage it gives the illusion of relaxing in a natural spring forest. It’s absolutely lovely and quiet romantic. Many nights lead from this secret hot tub back to the honeymoon suite!
