Sandals Real Wedding: Ryan and Stefanie’s Sunset Soiree
Ryan and Stefanie’s Sandals Real Wedding was lush enough to rival any celebrity’s.
Ryan was the boy-next-door and Stefanie was a shy tomboy with a serious crush. Little did the couple know, that these two soul mates would get married 14 years later on the sunny island of Jamaica.Their beautiful garden wedding with a beach reception on a private island was straight out of a romance novel with white roses and elegant draping everywhere. Stefanie and Ryan really wanted their wedding to be special and unique; something that their friends and family had never seen before. All it took was one trip to Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Private Island for the pair to “instantly fall in love” all over again.

We had to ask Stefanie about her low open-back, ivory dress- it was so alluring! Believe it or not, it was one of the first dresses she tried on. What a lucky bride!
“My mom actually picked out this dress for me to try on and it was nothing that I had pictured myself wearing. I went back [to the bridals shop] to try it on several times and knew it was the perfect dress for our destination wedding.”
Her long, delicately beaded veil complimented the expert beading on her dress. Stefanie paired it all with simple and elegant teardrop earrings and her dazzling smile!
As the sun dipped down to touch the sea, the wedding party was treated to a clear view of a flawless sunset as they hopped aboard the “Wayang Doll” to the private island, where the reception was held.
Stefanie and Ryan incorporated a lot of “Jamaica” into their wedding – like food, music, drinks and entertainment – so that guests could get a good feel of the culture. The couple had 150 guests attend and according to the couple, not one guest was disappointed! The couple really amped up their wedding entertainment, which included a live steel drum band at their cocktail hour and a fire dancer at the reception – yes, a real fire dancer!
“We were so humbled by how many of our friends and family flew to Jamaica to celebrate our special day with us. It was so great to see everyone enjoying themselves and dancing the night away!”- Stefanie and Ryan.
“…It was truly an unforgettable day that we will always hold dear in our hearts. Everything was taken care of and the day couldn’t have been any more perfect. Even the weather was beautiful! Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We sincerely appreciate everything [Sandals] did for us. Hope to see you for our one year Anniversary!” – Ryan and Stefanie.
