Thanks to everyone who sent in their crazy proposal stories. Our contest is still going on, so we wanted to show our brides what your competition is! When soon-to-be-groom, Yemi Kolawole decided he was going to propose to his girlfriend of 3 years, he knew he had to make it something she would remember forever. We bet when Melissa Antao walked into the Comic-Con in London, a comic book and science fiction convention, she had no idea she would be walking into a proposal starring none other than the gang from the Scooby Doo mysteries!

Of his proposal plan Yemi had this to say,

“I had been planning to propose to my fiancé for about 6 months. Melissa is kind, beautiful, funny, caring, loving … everything I could have ever asked for and I wanted her proposal to be huge. She was always a big fan of flash mobs and I wanted to try to do something as similar to a flash mob as possible. I knew there was a comic convention coming up in October and with the help of one of my friends, we arranged for him and his comic friends to organize more people to help me propose to her there. Melissa and I had already gone to the previous year’s Comic-Con and she loved it. Scooby from the Scooby Doo mysteries was one of her favorite cartoons so we got the mob to dress up as Scooby and the Gang! She really didn’t suspect a thing! The tears in her eyes definitely said it all.”
