Your destination wedding is definitely the place for you and your soon-to-be sweetheart to enjoy every bit of each other. After having your wedding planner handle all your plans and arrange everything down to the last detail, your only job should be to show up and enjoy yourself; right? Enter the in-laws, out-of-town guests, and bridal party looking to you for event plans, dinning suggestions and entertainment, squashing all plans for intimate pre-wedding time.
Your decision to have a destination wedding doesn’t mean you have to play tour guide and event planner for everyone accompanying you. Set boundaries for your party and set specific time aside (besides bedroom time) for you and your honey to reconnect through all the wedding plans. Point your party to the nearest concierge and then try some of our romantic ideas to keep things hot before the wedding night. After all, your wedding is the time when everything should be all about you two; not Aunt Marge and her penchant for beach volleyball!
Twilight Dinners
Imagine you, your beau, the gentle shore lapping inches away from your table, powdery sand under your feet, a gorgeous tropical sunset sky overhead, your skin looking dewy and supple in the soft candle light as you gaze into each other’s eyes over a delicious dinner served by your private waiter. We dare you to think of anything more romantic than that! Your family and friends may demand your time during the day, but let them know that once the sun sets, it’s all about the two of you. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, arrange to have a sunset dinner under the stars served by a waiter in white gloves on a table specially decorated with tropical floral arrangements and candles. There’s no rush; enjoy each other completely, play “footise”, flirty shamelessly and feed each other while giving suggestive looks across the table. After dinner, take a casual stroll along the beach, sneak in a kiss or two (its dark no one can see you!) and walk that romantic path that leads right back to your room (wink wink).

Sunset set the best mood for romance, so naturally a sunset cruise would be the ideal place to keep the love gates open. Slip away from your group and sip a Cataraman signature cockatil under smooth golden and orange skies. You can hit the dance floor and do a tango or find a private corner, fall into your beloved’s lap and feed him nibbles of your appetizers. Don’t be afraid to get close; how many times will you get to take a sunset cruise over Caribbean waters? Find out from your concierge or front desk agent if you can schedule a lovers rock cruise at your resort.*
Arrange a Spa Date
In laws driving you crazy? Sneak away for the day and plan a couple’s massage on the beach or on a private island. Forget all the nagging and pre-wedding jitters and let a skillful massage therapist massage your stress away while you lie next to your sweetie on a massage table facing the beach. After your massage, you can always make a day of it by taking a dip in the pool with drinks, having lunch together or just lying on the beach. The idea is to enjoy being alone together where no one can reach you. Who knows; maybe you’ll pick up some tips from your massage therapist to try when you two are alone!
Stage a Lock-In

Pick a day and make it a goal not to leave your room unless absolutely necessary. Turn your cell off and your room phone on low and lock yourselves up in your room all day (strawberries and whip cream anyone?) Arrange to have all your meals and beverages brought to your room for the day so you never have to leave. Have your love (or butler) draw you a steamy bubble bath for two or you can also arrange to have a Couples Champagne Massage in your room. We’re pretty sure a few hours together will definitely keep the love flowing between you two!
