“If anyone wanted to have a planned elopement – go for it! You won’t regret it!”
There’s something so lovely about a classic-styled wedding. The bride is in pearls with a side swept up-do, the groom is smart in a vest and boutonnière and everything is beautifully simple. What we love even more is when a modern wedding trend meets a classic style; it’s positively magical. What we love the most about Jessica and Sean’s love story is how nearly all their important milestones happened near the water. After meeting each other at a destination wedding , Jessica and Sean decided to have their own planned elopement at Sandals Emerald Bay because it fit in with who they were – romantic and special!
Jessica and Sean’s WeddingMoon Story
“We met in the Detroit airport on our way to Sean’s sister’s destination wedding in Mexico in early 2009. I was a friend of the bride and groom but Sean and I had never met before. We even grew up in the same hometown, but never crossed paths until then. We became inseparable from the day we shook hands, it was love at first sight. Five and half years later, Sean asked me to marry him in our home town by the water under the Bluewater Bridge which is a famous landmark in our City.”
Our favorite memory of our wedding was the feeling that we were the only two people in a large resort. The garden setting was very pleasing and romantic. The wedding planners did everything to make our special day about us. All the traditional touches were awesome, from linking arms while drinking champagne to cutting the cake!
I thought we would both cry, but we were so happy that we couldn’t stop smiling and staring into each other eyes…
We would also like to thank the spa for doing my hair and make-up and the photographer and videographer, who all did an amazing job. And of course the Rev. Franklyn Mckenzie who joined us together as one.
I would just like to add that if anyone wanted to have a planned elopement – go for it! You won’t regret it. We trusted that the wedding planners would make our dreams come true, and they did just that! ”
Love,
Jessica and Sean.
