Sandals Real Wedding: Kerri and Andre’s Butterflies in the Bahamas
Picture this: On a beautifully warm and sunny afternoon, under a flawless sky, bubbly bride Kerri was escorted down a flowery pathway by her father to meet her groom Andre at a pink, butterfly strewn arch. Seated in front of the calm waters of the Reflection Pool, their guests looked on the couple as they said their vows with love in their eyes and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean in the background in this Sandals Real Wedding.
This was the setting of our first Sandals real wedding of 2013, coming straight to you from the stunning, sunny shores of Exuma, The Bahamas. Everything about this couple was fun and easy-going, a nod to Kerri’s sweet nature and Andre’s laid back style. Kerri and Andre are a true Sandals Love Story! The couple took their first Sandals vacation at Montego Bay in 2009; three years (and three trips) later the couple said “We Do” in front of family and friends at Sandals Emerald Bay. As true Sandals fans, Kerri and Andre graciously accepted our wedding blogger Sunny to be present at one the most special moment of their lives. According to Sunny, “This wedding was so beautiful, it will be sure to give anyone butterflies!”

Kerri was truly a blushing bride with all of her custom made pink themed accessories. Of her custom look Kerri had this to say, “My Wedding Dress was an Alita Graham design from Kleinfeld’s Bridal in NYC. I wanted to make sure that I still got the dress of my dreams and Kleinfelds was the shop I knew would have it! My flower headpiece was a custom design from Thomas Knoell, who is a vendor with Kleinfelds. He made sure to match the colors of our cake toppers/my shoes and applied them to the headpiece. It took my breath away when I opened the box to see the final product.” Her fabulous pink shoes were custom designed by celebrity stylist Sondra Celli. “I sent her plain pink wedges and an idea about a design – and she sent back a masterpiece”, Kerri said.
“The most memorable part was that we were able to share it with 13 of our closest friends and family members. My brother was not able to attend – but thanks to WiFi and iPads, he and his girlfriend watched the entire Ceremony through Face Time! We definitely wouldn’t have changed a thing about having our group come down – we dubbed our Wedding beforehand “Epic Wedding Time” as a joke – but it truly was.” –Kerri and Andre.
Kerri and Andre included a lot of cute and personal DIY crafts in their wedding; the handmade signs were adorable! In honor of Kerri’s late grandfather and Andre’s great-grandmother, the couple had these beautiful candles made. Their wedding was incredibly sentimental.
“…Emerald Bay was an absolutely amazing experience. From Ann and Shalise in the Wedding Department to Joval [photographer] for documenting it all and the entire weddings team for being just so caring about OUR WeddingMoon – Sandals has a place in our hearts forever.” – Kerri and Andre
Thanks to you Kerri and Andre for sharing your day of joy and beauty with all of us!
