I Said Yes At Sandals: Stacey and Ryan’s Surprise Trip Turned Proposal
A surprise trip to Jamaica turned into a candlelight dinner to be remembered forever!
There’s nothing we love more than a good surprise. Add in a romantic island getaway, candlelight and a sparkly ring and we’re all yours. That’s exactly what awaited Stacey when her then boyfriend Ryan surprised her with two tickets for a romantic weekend getaway to Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica (he’s a keeper!). Read on to share in the surprise, that would change both of their lives forever.
How He Proposed
“My fiancé surprised me with a trip to Sandals Montego bay for a quick 3 night trip for what he said was my mothers day gift. One night in the middle of the trip while we were getting ready for dinner a photographer came to our room. I was surprised since he told me he was taking us to dinner. [As] we started to walk towards the beach, I looked over at Ryan and asked why we were going to the beach with a photographer. He told me we were having a candle lit dinner on the beach. I was SO excited!
We were greeted by our waitress and she pulled the chair out for me. As I sat down she handed Ryan a rose and out of no where, Ryan got down on his knee. He took out the ring and asked me to marry him. Since we LOVE Jamaica and have been to Sandals Ochi three times I responded with “YEAH MON!!” Our waitress, photographer, Ryan and myself all started laughing. It was so romantic in the gazebo and dinner was SO tasty, as always.
When we got back to our room we had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. They always go above and beyond to make sure your experience with them is the absolute best! My favorite thing about the proposal was how special it was to have the photographer there [to] capture my engagement. Those pictures mean so much to us! He literally captured the best moment of my life!”
The Best Part
Stacey and Ryan loved their engagement trip so much, they planned their wedding at Beaches Ocho Rios!
“We couldn’t wait because we knew how beautiful and special the staff would make it. [We] invited about 70 people and couldn’t wait for everyone who can attend to see how amazing Sandals and Beaches is and [experience] why we keep going back!”
