It writes like a romantic novel; an ER nurse and a fireman attend a wedding unbeknownst to them that their lives were about to change at a buffet line over a little mostaccioli. From a co-workers introduction to a romantic and tropical destination wedding in the Bahamas, Renee and David’s love story is a best-seller come to life. We’re so happy they’ve decided to share their latest chapter with us; The Wedding!

Renee was very keen on keeping her her wedding look simple but destination-wedding friendly. While she kept her gown simple, she adorned it with a satin sash that she and her mother made, her grandmother’s necklace and amazing, pinned up curls in her hair; very family oriented and destination wedding chic! Her something blue was the sparkly “I Do’s” on the bottom of her wedding shoes. In a special tribute to her father, Renee attached a locket with a picture of her dad to her bouquet. It was a sweet way of having her father walk her down the aisle.
It was important to both Renee and David to honor Renee’s late father as well as Dave’s best friend, Mike who were both lost in 2012. Renee handed out lockets of her father to her close family members and the couple released floating lanterns at their reception in a special moment of silence.
Renee and David chose classic white with tangerine accents to add a hint of tropical flavour to their simple and classic wedding theme. Renee carried a gorgeous tropical flower bouquet and the David sported a calla lilly boutonnière.
The thing the couple spoke most about, was how much they enjoyed their honeymoon.
“We enjoyed our honeymoon breakfast in bed and of course, the pool bar! Dave and some others went on the SCUBA dive almost every day and we still “debate” exactly how big the sharks were. The whole experience was amazing, we had the opportunity to travel with our friends and enjoy a beautiful location!”
Everywhere we went [staff] knew we were a WeddingMoon couple. We would have flowers on our breakfast table, a hostess sang “Going to the Chapel” one morning and even my room attendant helped me get dressed for the ceremony. Thank you to everyone who travelled to be with us and made our week so special!
No, thank you Renee and David!
