Sandals Real Wedding: Diana and Alexander’s Free-Spirited Beach Wedding

When a couple of world travellers meet in New York, fall in love in Moscow and get engaged in Venice, Italy, the result becomes a free-spirited wedding on the sun-drenched shores of The Bahamas. It was really important to have a wedding that reflected them as a couple – laid-back and romantic. On their wedding day the bride wore pink, the groom wore white, they sunbathed together before the ceremony and celebrated with a post-reception dip on the beach. We’d say – mission accomplished!

When asked about her unique and absolutely gorgeous pink wedding gown, Diana confided that no one else liked the idea of a pink gown at first.

“Only a few of my best friends understood that this gown was so true to my character but I decided to be brave and chose what I really liked. I was really nervous about my dress because [Alexander] hadn’t seen it before the big moment. After everyone saw the pictures they took their words back!”

I was really nervous waiting for Diana. When we finally got together before our vows everything else around us just stopped existing.

“In Russia on your wedding day you wake up at 7am, have a ceremony in the mayor’s office around 11pm or so, have a photo shoot and then dinner. By the late evening this is usually no time for romance any more – you just want to sleep. At Sandals we had time for everything and so much more.” – Diana

“We want to say thank you to our wedding planners Daniella and Shalise; they did a lot for us. They are real professionals and calmed anything we were nervous about; even when we changed time of the ceremony the day before! We loved our photographer Wiky and our videographer who both kept in mind all our wishes. Everything was perfect!”- Diana and Alexander.

We LOVED this care-free wedding! Thank you Diana and Alexander for letting us share in this day with you.
