Adorable, right? Each couple who wanted to be a part of the “16” entered a drawing and expressed which unique wedding experience they wanted, on what island and why. This Jan 16, right on schedule, 16 couples got married at the same time on 16 different islands, one of which took place at Sandals Emerald Bay on the breathtaking island of Exuma. We were lucky enough to interview Lauren and Steven, the lucky couple who won their WeddingMoon at Emerald Bay, and share their sweet and super cool wedding on our blog!

Lauren and Steven were high-school sweethearts whose dreams came true the minute they decided to get married. As a young boy, Steven spent a lot of time in The Bahamas and always dreamed of taking his Lauren there with him. When it came time to plan their wedding, this incredibly lucky couple decided, “why not?” and entered the 16 Island Wedding Invitation. As luck would have it, they won one of 16 destination weddings taking place all over the Bahamas. Can you imagine?! Lauren and Steven were then whisked away to the island of Exuma with their close friends and family to get married in the sand like Steven had always dreamed!

Lauren’s destination wedding-ready gown was made by designer David Tutera. It featured tiny, intricate beading all over that turned the bride into a sparkling gem the second the light touched her gown. The bride was escorted from the door of her suite right down to her beach-front aisle in the Sandals Wedding Chariot, so she had no idea how beautifully her dress would shine until she got out of the chariot. It was like magic!

Here comes the beautiful bride! “Right as I was walking down onto the beach the steel drums were playing, my dad and I had our hands held tight, I saw my guests all standing on the gorgeous beach, and best of all, my fiancé waiting there!” – Lauren.

Lauren and Steven choose the Green  Caramel Apple as their Signature WeddingMoon Cocktail and it matched the fun, laid-back style of this couple perfectly.

We couldn’t have dreamed up a better wedding!  The waves were lapping at the shore, skies were blue, the sand was powdery soft, and the beach was all ours!
