“Our wedding day was so sentimental for me, I can’t look back at our photos and our beautiful wedding video by Snapshots without happy tears. I talk about destination weddings almost every day of my life (I truly love them), so to share my own is such a surreal experience. There is absolutely nothing I would change about the day; it was perfect from start to finish. I’m so excited to now have the chance to walk you through this unbelievable day!”

“When I got this mug as a gift earlier this year, I had no idea how true it would ring on my wedding day. I felt like the luckiest bride ever; I was about to marry the love of my entire life in paradise!  The morning getting dressed was filled with so many touching moments and genuine laughs with my party; I enjoyed every minute of it. Our butlers Daniel and Veronique made sure we had everything we needed from light snacks to little sewing kits for last minute mishaps. I can’t help but smile thinking about this morning.

I was over-the-moon when I saw all of the dresses that were chosen; they were all gorgeous! The mix of the blush and oyster bridesmaids dresses with the champagne color of my Mon Cheri gown tied in beautifully for a late fall, destination wedding. I wanted to give my girls personalized gifts so I found a vendor to make these cute hangers with all of their names on them.”

“Dario is a very debonair kind of guy (one of the things I love about him!). His gift to his guys and his sister, who stood as his best woman, were their touch of color worn under all of their outfits; stylish socks. He decided to do the classic all black look by Xedo to stand out from his guys – I loved it!”

Dario’s Favorite Moment: “When my best friend first told me he was unable to make my wedding earlier this year, it was hard to not be disappointed. I always imagined him by my side on this day. Imagine how I felt when he walked into the room while my groomsmen and I were getting ready. I had no words. Somehow, he and my beautiful soon-to-be-wife arranged to surprise me by having him fly in and stand as my best man. Even better to the moment, he delivered Sunny’s gift to me; a pair of cuff links with my mom and I on them. My mom passed away a few years ago. The note that came with them said, “Now, you can still walk your mom down the aisle.” I knew I was about to marry a true superwoman. I couldn’t wait to meet my bride at the altar.”

Sunny’s favorite moment: “My first look with my dad was probably one of my absolute favorite wedding moments. I know the typical first look is between the bride and groom, but I’m a sucker for that genuine smile or tears a groom has when he first sees his bride, so Dario and I decided to wait for that moment. I’m so happy I decided to do it this way instead. My wedding planner Samaria suggested the wedding garden was the perfect quiet spot for this and she was right, we had it all to ourselves. I’m really close with my dad and I’ll never forget the look on his face when he first saw me all made up as a bride. It was the true water-works moment for me; I couldn’t help but cry. In true daddy fashion, he had a handkerchief ready to dab my tears. When I turned to walk back, all of my bridesmaids and my mom were crying. It was the moment it all felt real to me – that this was actually happening!”

“We felt so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family who went out of their way to help us during this wedding experience as well as in our personal lives. Seeing them all there, laughing together, crying together and then showering us with their love. Words can’t explain the feeling.”

“People laughed when we told them our wedding theme was “Drinks All Around!”. Everyone in our circle knows that Dario and I love to have get-togethers and parties with our friends. Being the drink experts we are, we really wanted to take that theme throughout our cocktail and reception. I added “We Love to Party” to every aspect I could think of, including the DIY welcome table, our cocktail napkins and coasters from Wedding Paper Divas and our wedding favors.”

“During our first meeting with our wedding planner Samaria, she asked what our guests love to do and we told her, ‘party!’ She made sure we had enough bars throughout our cocktail and reception and that everything was visually stunning. I left all of the arrangements up to her and her team and she did not disappoint! Our guests really loved our signature drink, ‘The Artic Orange’.”

“Can I take a second to talk about that reception space! We were floored with how gorgeous the reception looked when we first walked in. I couldn’t have pictured it better. The wedding team took care of everything we asked for and even set up a floor plan that would add to the intimate and warm ambiance we truly wanted to create. I’m so happy I went with my pre-travel planner’s suggestion of both round and square tables; Nina was right on the money!  The reception felt like a glamorous but cozy party with our loved ones, which is exactly what we wanted. We loved the theme even more after seeing it all set up.

“From the absolute bottom of our hearts, Thank You! The wedding team at Sandals Royal Bahamian including our wedding planners Nina and Samaria were amazing. The lengths they went through to make this day exceptional touched us both very much. This was so much more than just a wedding to us, it was a 10 year celebration in the making of our coming together and we can’t think of a better way this could have been honored. It was more than just a beautiful day, we had an amazing time every second of our wedding day. The teams at Sandals took every request, every wish and desire and made it a million times better than we could have imagined; From our butlers to the wedding videographers at Snapshots. Even the general manager, Mr. Williams popped in the day of our wedding to give us his best wishes. Our wedding video from Snapshots perfectly captured it all! Looking back on this day, we will forever be grateful for the day we got engaged; the day that started our love affair with Sandals Resorts.

Love, Sunny & Dario.
