The Only Destination Wedding Bridesmaids Dress You’ll Ever Need.

Call off the search! Sunny’s found “The Dress” your bridesmaids will love forever.

Sunny here! I’m a very lucky bride. I have an amazing group of women about to stand beside me on my wedding day and I love them all dearly. One of my biggest wedding concerns was making sure all my best girls felt really comfortable and beautiful on the big day in their destination wedding bridesmaids dresses.

At first I tried the big wedding no-no, having them all choose their own dresses. It’s a no-no for a reason –all the different styles, colors not matching up, it’s just unnecessary headache. Scrolling through Instagram, I came across Two Birds Bridesmaids dresses and how committed they were to making a dress bridesmaids will want to wear again and again. I showed my bridesmaids and they all fell in love with the different styles these multi-wear dresses came in.

After going back and forth between the Tulle look and the Classic look we all settled on the Classic Ball Gown style, I asked my bridesmaids to take a closer look and at these flooring gowns before we decided on them and they gave me their honest feelings. Here’s how they truly felt about these dresses:

It’s completely versatile.

If you have a group of women like my bridesmaids, then you know one style does not fit all. My best friend and bridesmaid Cassandra felt the best part about this dress was being able to make it look like several completely different looks to suit everyone, from the most daring to the most modest of them.

Her Tip: Study the TwoBirds how-to-tie videos and then play around with your own styles a bit. She wanted a more modest style, so I figured out a cute way to wrap her dress for a regal off-the-shoulder look. Once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy to do.

It’s Gorgeous!

My bridesmaid Rissie loved the Classic Ball Gown style because she felt really flirty and feminine in the floor length. She got to try on the extra-length ball gown and let’s just say, it did not disappoint!

Her Tip: Go extra long if you love a lush dress with a very slight train behind you that pools a little when you stand. If you’re really short, about 5 ‘2 or under and wearing flats, then the normal length should still give you that effect.

It packs really well.

This dress takes up no space at all. It can fold really flat or really tightly into a corner of your suitcase without wrinkling too much.

My Tip: Instead of folding the dress, smooth it out and then roll the dress up to pack it in your suitcase. The multi-way straps wrap around a good number of times to keep it tightly rolled enough to even take in your carry-on, so no matter what happens with your luggage, you’ve got your dress.

It’s all-size friendly.

Jersey silk can be a very forgiving and these dresses do not skimp on the fabric. All of the dresses come in two size ranges; size A which fits dress sizes 0-12 and size B that fits dress sizes 14-20. My bridesmaids fit within all of these size ranges and every single one of them loved the fit and flare of their gowns. My plus size bridesmaids really liked how forgiving the skirt flow was on them.

Their Tip: When wrapping your dress, spread the multi-way straps wide for the type of coverage you want. The straps are wide enough that you don’t really need a bandeau underneath, unless of course you feel more comfortable with one on.

It’s comfortable – especially for destination weddings

Destination weddings can be wonderful, but let’s be honest – you don’t want to stand out in the Caribbean sun in a heavy, restricting gown, especially if you’re not used to a very sunny climate. My cousin Anitra, was impressed with how free-flowing and comfortable the dresses were, so much that she didn’t want to take it off!

Her Tip: Take the undergarments you plan on wearing to your bridesmaids dress fitting so you know exactly what’s going on under your dress and if you need to make any adjustments. Don’t just stand up either when trying on your dress, move around, spin, sit – act like you’re at the wedding so you have an accurate idea of how you feel. Your bridesmaids will be wearing this dress for a few hours; they will want to be comfy.
