Beaches Real Wedding: Ashley and Alex’s Bespoke Wedding

We’re ridiculously excited to share this bespoke Beaches Real Wedding from Ashley and Alex – video included!

Earlier this year, we teamed up with award-winning film-makers I Do Films to give two lucky couples the chance to win a glamorous wedding video of their big day at Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts. Ashley and Alex were our Beaches Resorts winners who travelled down to Beaches Turks and Caicos with their friends and family for a whirlwind WeddingMoons experience. These two are the absolute cutest together (we’re talking matching tattoos of the navigational coordinates of where they met … cute!!). With the naturally stunning backdrop of Turks and Caicos, we’re 100% sure this video will  not only make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside but give you a glimpse into what a real WeddingMoon experience is all about.

When Alex and Ashley entered our I Do Films competition, Alex wrote us a literal love story that was 10 pages and 2 chapters long. The amount of love that poured out from their story was exactly the type of love that out poured from these soul mates on their wedding day. Their love story was an inspiring one of success, failure and one chance meeting through a mutual friend that would last a life time. The sweetest part of their love story to us was the ending by Alex-the groom,

“The day she said “yes” everything in life came together and every day is now the best day of my life. The last few years have had some ups and downs but in the end I get to marry my soul mate and my best friend. I truly cannot wait to see what this next chapter brings.”

As a wedding present, Ashley’s mom hand-crafted her veil including all the intricate bead-work. The beading matched her pearl earrings that were a wedding day gift from Alex and her pearl bracelet bought from Colombian Emeralds at Beaches as a present to herself.

It was very sentimental for the couple that Ashley’s grandfather Rev. Jim Morris participated in the ceremony with Rev. Conrad Howell of Turks and Caicos.  His participation in the service is something they cherished.

” We wrote our vows in a journal Alex gave me on our first date. He had given me a journal to record my life’s journey, but from that day on it became our journey.”

 

After their ceremony the adventurous couple took off on their “Just Married” scooter to tour the island with their photographer for one-of-a-kind wedding photos infused with the beauty of Turks and Caicos.

“Thank you to our friends and family for all of the love and support.  And a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our wedding special and the entire staff at Beaches.  Everyone took such good care of us and made every detail of our trip so special and memorable.  We are still so touched and blown away by all of the love and generosity that everyone showed us.  We will never forget how blessed our wedding was. We had such an amazing time on our WeddingMoon that we’ve already booked our anniversary trip for next May!”
