Morning weddings are a beautiful way to start your day. Having a breakfast reception opens up your celebration options to unique wedding dishes and drinks. Ten in the morning may be a little early for a cosmopolitan (or not, we don’t judge!) but it’s perfect for one of these refreshing morning drinks.
Try these drink recipes:
Lemon or Lime and Cucumber Water
What You’ll Need (serves 20 +)
10 gallons cold water
40-50 slices of lemon
40-50 slices of cucumber
10 glass pitchers (water does not come out as well with plastic containers)
Directions:
Add about 5 slices of lemon and 5 slices of cucumbers to each pitcher. Pour in water until lemon and cucumbers rise to the top of the pitcher.
For a stronger and more pleasant flavor and aroma, let water sit in the fridge for an hour before ready to be served. Basically the longer you leave the cucumbers and lemons in the water, the stronger the flavor.
Add Ice if you plan on leaving your pitchers out during your reception.

Mint Tonic Switcha
What You’ll Need
6 cups warm water
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice (about 7-8 limes depending on size)
1/2 cup – 1 1/2 cup of Sugar (more or less to your taste)
Tonic water (you will need 1 cup of tonic water per individual glass)
Sprigs of Mint
Directions:
Mix water, lime juice and sugar together in a glass pitcher. Make sure you use warm water as the sugar will dissolve better than in coldwater. Place pitcher in fridge to allow chilling or in the freezer for a quicker icier chill. This will make ordinary “switcha”.
In a separate highball, put mint sprig in the bottom and crush with a spoon.
Add 1 cup of swticha and 1 cup of tonic water.
Garnish glass with more mint or a lime wedge (if desired) and serve with crushed ice for a crisp mid-morning drink on a hot day.
