If you aren’t convinced yet that spring is in the air, maybe Vera Wang can persuade you it’s the season of color! The wedding dress designer unveiled (or should we say unleashed) her Spring 2013 bridal collection at the highly anticipated bridal fashion week with an array of scarlet, crimson and plum haute-couture wedding dresses. Yes, you read that right…RED wedding dresses!
Red may seem taboo but consider this, in most East Asian cultures, brides wear red on their wedding day as a representation of luck and prosperity. Both, actress Elizabeth Hurley and journalist and former co-host of The View Lisa Ling wore stunning red wedding dresses (not designed by Wang) down the aisle.
